Very In-Depth Analysis,
Eric San Juan begins the book by talking about the origins of the show and the origins of the “zombie” genre. He continues to give a preface to everything including what inspired the “modern zombie”. After explaining, in detail, the premise and the inspirations of the show San Juan takes a nosedive into the production process and everything that went into creating the show. After all of that, San Juan begins to inspect each and every season of the show. He inspects the seasons in a very meticulous manner by pointing everything out and giving a thorough explanation for what was done and for what reason.
Overall a very interesting read. This is my first time reading a book that analyzes a television show. Once all of the premises were explained I couldn’t put the book down, it was mesmerizing. The way San Juan wrote it and explained everything it was great. I would definitely recommend this to everyone but more so to the fans of The Walking Dead.
